will be judged at the offices of PrintWeek magazine. Expert judges will read through the submitted entries and any relevant support material submitted. The impact made by the initial entry material is of the utmost importance if entries are not to be eliminated at this stage. The judges will then discuss each individual entry and vote by secret ballot. Scores will determine which entries make the short-list.
Both finalists and non-finalists will be contacted and made aware of the results.
Who will judge the entries?
The BPIF and PrintWeek assemble a panel of judges under a chairman of the judges. A mixture of the BPIF’s in-house experts and independent specialists judge each category. The first round of judging is based on the written submissions to produce the shortlist for every category. For the Health & Safety, Environment, People Management, Training and Development and Lean Production Awards the shortlisted firms may be visited to determine the winner. Apprentices undergo a panel interview, as may the shortlist for Personal Improvement at the judges’ discretion.
The judges reserve the right to move entries to a category they deem to be more appropriate. A winner will be awarded in each category. At the judges’ discretion, a highly commended award may be made in any category if a shortlisted entry is deemed to be of a high enough standard.
